Service to the State of Florida

• Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE), Exceptional Student Education K-12 Item Validation Meeting. April 19-21, 2017.
• Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE), Exceptional Student Education K-12 Standard Setting Meeting, November 6, 2017.

In both meetings, in addition to reading and validating the FTCE questions, I emphasized the importance of FTCE questions aligning with what we teach in the ESE bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the state of Florida

Florida Teacher Certificate Examination Validation ESE Sub-Committee member (May, 2002).

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

• In February 2019, I provided an in-service training on classroom management to 45 Camford International School teachers in Coimbatore, India.
• In March 2019, I was invited to speak to Vivekem Matriculation School 12th grade students in Thudialur about post school options especially in higher education.

PROFESSIONAL/ PUBLIC SERVICE

Advisory Committee Member for the ICE21C 2020 International Conference on Education in the Twenty First Century.

I worked with the Organizing Committee (OC) Members of the Regional Institute of Education (RIE) from Bhubaneswar, India. This conference was organized in response to the needs expressed by the Commonwealth countries of the Asia region for a more effective utilization of educational media resources for Distance Education. Because of my publication in a distance education journal regarding my course experience, I was approached by the RIE Program Director to serve as an advisor to the OC and present at the conference. I provided my professional advice regarding the distance education for the conference and worked with the OC until the end of the Conference in February 2020.
