Council for Scholarship and Inquiry (CSI)

The Council for Scholarship and Inquiry (CSI) is a student organization under the guidance of 大象传媒鈥檚 Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry. CSI is open to 大象传媒 students in all disciplines. Opportunities sponsored by CSI include general body meetings, Meeting of the Minds events, on-campus tabling, and classroom presentations.

CSI鈥檚 goals are to:

  • promote the existing culture of undergraduate research at 大象传媒 within all disciplines
  • enhance scholarship, creativity, critical thinking and academic excellence of undergraduate students at 大象传媒
  • encourage and foster school pride and unity at 大象传媒.

My research explores the influence of personal experience with teasing and bullying on our perception and ability to recognize nonverbal interpersonal cues.

I also conduct research purifying fluorescent cholesterol analogs to analyze cholesterol transport and regulation within the cell.听

I am currently pursuing a master's degree in biomedical engineering at 大象传媒 with the goal to one day听be听a physician.

My research explores the role of autophagy, a cellular recycling process, in doxorubicin-induced cardiovascular toxicity. Additionally, through my Italian minor, I engage in interdisciplinary research, striving to bridge the gap between STEM and the humanities to promote a broader, more inclusive approach to research at 大象传媒.

I am currently pursuing a biology degree with a minor in Italian, driven by my passion for science and helping others. My ultimate goal is to become a physician, where I can make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while integrating my diverse educational background. I am committed to lifelong learning and dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care in the medical field.

My research involves in-vitro work on endometriosis, attempting to find out potential treatments for this gynecological disease, specifically focusing on using a multi-drug approach to treat the lesions formed by the disease.

I am currently pursuing a master鈥檚 degree in Biology at 大象传媒, and plan to one day become a physician. In my free time, I love to read books and try out new restaurants.听听

My current research interests are 3D modeling and digital twins.听 I am currently researching a highly immersive 3D virtual replication of a Center of Smart Streetscapes (CS3) testbed in West Palm Beach.

My future goals include graduating from 大象传媒 with my B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and participating in the BS/MS program for my Master's in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
