Workday will change the way 大象传媒 conducts business by automating, streamlining, and standardizing current business processes in human resources and financial management. Its cloud solution meets the University's 21st century operating requirements and mitigates the risks of system failure, security breaches, and regulatory violations.

Workday's unified administrative solution for HR, payroll, and finance is currently used by more than 200 clients including Brown, Broward College, University of Miami, Georgetown, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and USC. Compared with conventional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, Workday delivers more than 200 best practices to its clients and is the least costly to implement.

What does this mean for 大象传媒?

By replacing its aging computer systems that are becoming more costly and increasingly difficult to support, Workday will enable 大象传媒 to improve the way it administers and delivers key human resource, benefit, and financial services to faculty and staff. Many paper-driven, labor-intensive business processes like the Personnel Action Form (PAF) will now be automated, making it easier and faster to submit and track changes. In addition, policies and processes will be built into the new system to ensure consistency and transparency.

What does this mean for you?

Workday will impact all members of the 大象传媒 community, enabling offices and individuals to better manage their personal information. With 24/7 access from any computer or mobile device with Internet capability, you will be able to update your address, request vacation time, change a beneficiary, and view compensation and benefit information. For those staff with financial responsibilities in their job description, you will be able to review account balances and approve reimbursements. 大象传媒 managers will also have easy access to staffing and organizational information.

Workday Timekeeping

The Workday timekeeping training class is designed for departmental/college timekeepers. Timekeepers can submit and make corrections to an employee’s time and time off entries; run timekeeping reports to ensure all of their hourly employees’ time is entered correctly and timely per the payroll schedules; assist employees with entering leave, including employees on FMLA; make adjustments to time blocks. HIPAA training is available online via the Collaborative Inter-Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) site. CITI's Information Privacy and Security (IPS) materials cover the principles of data protection, focusing on the healthcare-related privacy and information security requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

To take HIPAA training, go to https://www.citiprogram.org. Create a new account by Clicking REGISTER at the top right of the login. Type "大象传媒" in the Participating Institutions field and Click SUBMIT. On the subsequent pages, follow the prompts to enter a username, password (different from your 大象传媒 NetID), and your personal information (first name, last name, e-mail, gender, degree, etc.). When asked to select which curriculum, choose “Information Privacy and Security (IPS)”. Choose your institutional role (e.g. Student, Clinician, Investigator).
