Congratulations to Teresa Wilcox, Ph.D., on her new role as Associate Provost of Academic Personnel!

Since July 2020, Dr. Wilcox served as the Interim Dean of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science. During her tenure, Dr. Wilcox's accomplishments included designing faculty development opportunities within the Schmidt College of Science to promote teaching excellence, expanding the Pre-Health Professions Office to the partner campuses, and promoting a culture of inclusion in the college through appointing an Administrative Fellow for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Dr. Wilcox states, "I greatly enjoyed my time as the Interim Dean, serving incredibly talented, driven students, and working with excellent faculty and staff who lead the diverse offices and academic units that comprise this sprawling college. I'm looking forward to the new role in the Office of the Provost to spearhead initiatives that support faculty and academic personnel across Florida Atlantic."

Prior to serving as Interim Dean, Dr. Wilcox was the Chair and a Professor for ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Department of Psychology since 2018. She joined ´óÏó´«Ã½ from Texas A&M University where she was a professor and held multiple administrative positions. She earned a Bachelor's in Psychology and Education at Bethel University, a Master's in Child Development at the University of California, Davis, and a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Wilcox began the new position in ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Office of the Provost in May, 2022. Wilcox will continue to serve as a Professor of Psychology and oversee research in theÌý Ìý.
