Suggested Proposal Formats

1. Research Abstracts
This format is best suited for projects that want to clarify or discover information. For example, designing an experiment to detect toxins in drinking water or soil.

Requirements:
  • Literature review
  • Experimental design
  • Presentation
2. Software/algorithm design
This format is best suited for projects that want to concretely apply code/algorithm/ML/AI solutions. For example, creating an app that patients and doctors can use to track their health.

Requirements:
  • Code: Raw code files and packages
  • Demonstration
  • Presentation
3. Business plan
This format is best suited for projects that want to leverage known technologies and information as a product or service. For example, creating a subscription plan for prescription refills and delivery.

  • Overview
  • Product or service description
  • 鈦燭arget market
  • 鈦 Initial investment & financial projections
  • Presentation
Presentation
  • All teams are required to present their project to the judges, regardless of the format they have selected
  • Each team is limited to (5) PowerPoint slides and will have up to (9) minutes to present their project to the judges: (5) minutes for the presentation and (4) minutes for questions.
  • Each project should have one slide for each of the following:
    • Summary
    • Background
    • Problem
    • Challenges
    • Solution
