Vasti Jackson, 2018 Artist-in-Residence

Vasti Jackson, an international performing artist and Grammy-winning blues musician, was Artist-in-Residence at the 2018 Summer Institute of the Anne Boykin Institute for the Advancement of Caring in Nursing. He was an active participant in the Academy dialogue on the possibility of caring humanoid healthcare robots.

Caring as the central value of nursing, health care and human living is reflected in this performance as Artist-in-Residence, culminating in his closing composition, “Nursing Angels.”
