Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida's 25th District visited the College of Nursing's Davie campus on Thursday, August 24 for a meet-and-greet and tour of the nursing program's facilities. During her visit, she discussed her congressional efforts to enhance black maternal health and cancer treatment, reduce prescription drug costs, broaden health care availability and promote initiatives to bolster the nursing workforce. Faculty, students and staff who were in attendance actively participated in a Q&A and shared their perspectives on health disparities and other issues with Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz. 聽
