ࡱ> 685%` D bjbj .̟̟D  '$h"zbbbb b:j ,  `T1l" 0' R"" " " 'bbbb Faculty Mentorship Program The purpose of the Faculty Mentorship Program is to support new faculty as they establish themselves as scholars at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. All new faculty on the tenure track are assigned two mentors, one focused on research/ scholarship and one focused on teaching; one of these will be assigned as the lead mentor for the new faculty member. Mentor teams meet three times/year with the mentee. The mentee comes to the first meeting with a current vita, objectives for the first semester and a current copy of P&T guidelines with the questions concerning guidelines. At the completion of the first meeting, all mentees will have objectives related to teaching effectiveness, manuscript preparation, research funding and service on one College committee. One-on-one meetings between a faculty mentor and a mentee occur as needed to work on areas of development such as the research program, details of teaching excellence, and manuscript development. Lead mentors meet with their mentee at least monthly and will focus on progress toward objectives at the end of the first and second semester. One member of the mentorship group will sit in on at least one mentee class in the first semester to provide feedback about teaching in preparation for a peer evaluation before the end of the first year.
