Located at Florida Atlantic鈥檚 Jupiter campus, our fellows work alongside world-class scientists from the Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute, the Institute for Human Health and Disease Intervention (I-Health), the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, and the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College. You鈥檒l also benefit from the proximity of globally renowned institutions like the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and the Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation and Technology鈥攁ll within a collaborative ecosystem designed to inspire discovery.

As a Postbac fellow, you鈥檒l identify labs that match your research interests and contribute to impactful projects under expert mentorship. Gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art environment, leveraging resources such as the ZEISS Microscopy Solutions Center, Nikon Imaging Center and the Center for Computational Neuroscience.

Eligibility

  • Educational Background: Candidates should have earned their bachelor鈥檚 degree within three years prior to the program start date.
  • Career Goals: The program is designed for those planning to pursue a PhD or MD/PhD in biological sciences, neuroscience, or biomedical sciences.
  • International Applicants: International students are welcome to apply. Please review the university鈥檚 eligibility and screening process for foreign researchers before
  • Commitment: Postbacs must be able to work full-time and may not be enrolled in another degree program during their fellowship. Program begins July 2025 and is one year in duration.

Compensation

Postbacs will be offered a competitive compensation package, including benefits.

Housing

Awardees are responsible for securing their own housing. We can provide recommendations and limited on-campus housing may be offered at the current rate, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
