大象传媒 Wilkes Honors College Announces 鈥楽tarry Nights鈥 Acclaimed Author Series Featuring Joyce Carol Oates

大象传媒鈥檚 Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College in Jupiter will host an acclaimed author series titled 鈥淪tarry Nights,鈥 featuring readings from some of today鈥檚 brightest literary stars, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 26.

The 鈥淪tarry Nights鈥 series will provide guests the opportunity to hear distinguished authors speak about their lives, books, publications, inspirations, and participate in an interactive Q&A session. A book signing will follow the program. Advanced registration is required.

Events will take place in-person at the 大象传媒 John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter, and include:

  • 26, Leslie Gray Streeter, veteran journalist, speaker and author of 鈥淏lack Widow: A Sad-Funny Journey Through Grief for People Who Normally Avoid Books with Words Like 鈥楯ourney鈥 in the Title.鈥 Her work has been featured in the Miami Herald, Washington Post, O, The Oprah Magazine, TODAY show and more.

  • 16, Patricia Engel, American writer and author of 鈥淚nfinite Country,鈥 a New York Times bestseller, Reese鈥檚 Book Club pick, Esquire Book Club, Amazon Best Book of the Month, and more.

  • March 2, Ayse Papatya Bucak, author of 鈥淭he Trojan War Museum,鈥 her debut story collection influenced by her Turkish-American heritage, and contributing editor for Copper Nickel.

And special guest speaker:

  • April 1, Joyce Carol Oates, versatile and accomplished American writer who is best known for her fiction novels including 鈥渢hem,鈥 which won the National Book Award; 鈥淏londe,鈥 a bold reimagining of the inner life of Marilyn Monroe; 鈥淭he Falls,鈥 which won the France鈥檚 Prix Femina; and 鈥淲e Were the Mulvaneys,鈥 which became a bestseller after being selected by Oprah鈥檚 Book Club. She is the Roger S. Berlind Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at Princeton University, and since 1978, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
