Buildings and Grounds is a service organization of people committed to providing students, faculty, staff, and University visitors with the facilities and services required to achieve the University's goals and missions.
Description of Department's Key Services
- Writes bid documents, selects and oversees contracted custodial services
- Performs classroom and special event set ups
- Oversees energy management system operations
- Performs minor maintenance including painting, light bulb replacement, air conditioning adjustments, plumbing repairs, furniture repairs, electrical repairs, maintains RO Plant.
- Performs small moves within and between campuses
- Writes bid documents and contract for major maintenance including landscape, elevator fire sprinklers, fire alarms, air conditioning, generators, etc.
- Institutes procedures to save energy including recycling
