大象传媒 graduate Morgan Foohs completed a Master鈥檚 in Educational Leadership in December 2020. She is a fourth-grade teacher at Jensen Beach Elementary in Martin County who completed an accelerated program titled Educational Leadership: Intern to Excellence (ELITE) which makes her eligible to apply for an Assistant Principal position in her school鈥檚 district.

鈥淓LITE has provided the opportunity and experiences to grow my capacities as a leader, educator and advocate for all students,鈥 said Morgan. 鈥淟earning from current educational leaders within my school district and fellow ELITE cohort members has created a network of support and continued learning that extends beyond graduation.鈥

ELITE is a 22-month state approved Master鈥檚 Degree Program in Educational Leadership offered by 大象传媒 College of Education. It is an accelerated partnership program that includes district specific professional development for school leaders. Students in ELITE are mentored by their school principals who support them throughout their course work and internship activities. This design allows students to develop professional relationships with leaders across their district.

St. Lucie Public Schools, in partnership with Martin County School District and 大象传媒鈥檚 Department of Educational Leadership and Research Methodology (ELRM), collaborated to develop the ELITE鈥擡ducational Leadership: Intern to Excellence Partnership Program. Okeechobee County School District joined the ELITE Partnership in the 2018-19 school year.
