大象传媒 ACI Instructor Selected for SEPSEA Board of Directors

Gwendolyn Carey, Ed.D., was elected to the (SEPSEA) Board of Directors as the Florida Representative. She serves as an Instructor in the 大象传媒 Department of Exceptional Student Education at the College of Education and is a faculty member of 大象传媒 Academy for Community Inclusion (ACI).
Carey has been a part of 大象传媒 ACI from day one. The Academy, a Comprehensive Transition Program (CTP), provides an inclusive college experience to students diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities which aligns with her research focus on the effects of inclusion on all within a campus community.
鈥淚 look forward to sharing the lessons learned at 大象传媒 to support developing and expanding CTPs across the region,鈥 said Carey.
SEPSEA aims to promote access to quality inclusive postsecondary education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. in the organization will include supporting postsecondary education by sharing resources, monitoring and providing support and membership opportunities with others in Florida. Carey will represent Florida鈥檚 25 inclusive postsecondary education programs in the U.S. Southeast.
