Joe Murray, Associate Dean, University Advising Services, 大象传媒 Shifts within higher education institutions have transitioned academic advising from a culture of walk-in based course scheduling to case management. Within this new system, students are assigned a personal academic adviser who reaches out and begins to build relationships with the student prior to arriving on campus, during orientation programming, and throughout their first two years of the student鈥檚 experience. Addressing logistics and operational expectations while still maintaining the appreciative mindset is crucial to setting academic advisors up for success in building strong, positive relationships with students. Join us for this webinar to learn how advising administrators can apply the Appreciative Mindset when creating 鈥渃ase management鈥 assignments and the logistical consideration of identifying and serving target populations.
