Appreciative Advising Online Course
The Appreciative Advising Online Course introduces participants to the Appreciative Advising theory-to-practice framework. Participants will learn the six phases of Appreciative Advising and theory-to-practice strategies to help students build pathways toward achieving their educational goals.
By the end of the course, participants will have a deeper understanding of Appreciative Advising, be able to apply it confidently, and be inspired to create a more positive and supportive advising environment.

Time Commitment
The Appreciative Advising Online Course is a six-week course in Canvas with weekly course videos, readings, discussions, and/or theory-to-practice application assignments. Participants report devoting approximately 2-3 hours each week to the course.
Optional: Participants will be invited to meet in community for two (2) one-hour interactive discussions over Zoom.
This content is also offered in the four-day Appreciative Advising Institute for participants who prefer a synchronous option.

The course culminates in a capstone project, offering participants a practical opportunity to immediately apply the course concepts to their daily professional activities.
