Tina Vidal-Duart currently serves as the CEO of CDR Health Care, Inc. and Executive Vice President of CDR Companies, Inc., providing operational oversight and leadership to the 85-year-old engineering, emergency management, and disaster health and medical consulting firm which serves multiple state and local governments. She also shares ownership of the firm with her husband, Carlos Duart.Ìý With 20+ years of experience, she is considered an industry expert in healthcare management, start-ups, corporate restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions.
Vidal-Duart has overseen the growth of CDR Health, successfully transitioning the company post-COVID to provide healthcare related services to various federal, state and local government agencies.Ìý Recently, her firm helped the Florida Department of Health clear out a backlog of approximately 80,000 refugee health assessments, performing over 180,000 health assessments to date.Ìý Focused on public health and disaster medical response, CDR Health is called on to provide emergency medical services after federal declared disasters.Ìý Recently the firm provided mobile emergency medical care after Hurricanes Milton, Helene, Debby, and Idalia and was selected by the Florida Division of Emergency Management to open a 1,000-bed field alternative care medical facility and emergency department in Ft. Myers in response to emergent medical needs post Hurricane Ian and three (3) alternative care field hospitals totaling 3,500 beds in response to Hurricane Milton.

Prior to that, the Company was asked to take over COVID-19 vaccinations of long-term care facilities from CVS and Walgreens. As principal on the project, Ms. Vidal-Duart and her team vaccinated over 3,000 facilities in 3 weeks, decreasing the COVID-19 infection rate by 75% during that initial term, and by 90% over the life of the project. Ultimately, CDR has vaccinated over 3 million people, tested over 4 million people, and provided monoclonal antibodies to approximately 150,000. At the beginning of the pandemic, Vidal-Duart served as the Chief Executive Officer of the State of Florida COVID-19 Infectious Disease Field Hospital System where she oversaw the management and deployment of the State’s field hospital system and its healthcare and administrative support personnel. The firm also launched a call center that handled 200,000+ calls per day for the State and developed CDR HealthPro

, a patient portal for patients to register for COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and monoclonal antibodies. The system was used statewide in Florida, as well as multiple FEMA vaccination sites in Florida and Kentucky. The company provided COVID-19 related services across 5 states, including Florida, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Kentucky, and Texas.

In her prior experience in healthcare, she was the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Business Development with Pacer Health Corporation, a hospital conglomerate focused on acquiring and turning around financial distressed hospitals. She has experience in operating and managing an acute care hospital system, medical treatment centers, a skilled nursing facility, and psychiatric care facilities. Additionally, she ran a transportation and logistics subsidiary of Pacer, providing trucking/air freight, warehousing and distribution, and logistics services throughout the eastern United States.

Additionally, Vidal-Duart helped found and management ML Management Group, a sports agency that manages UFC and mixed martial arts fighters, including UFC notables Jorge Masvidal and Yoel Romero.

She has a Master’s in International Business, summa cum laude, and a Bachelor of International Business and Marketing, magna cum laude. Vidal-Duart has been a board member with the Florida Grand Opera (FGO) since 2019, serving on the board’s executive committee and as the board’s current Chair. ÌýÌýRecently, she and her husband announced a $2 million matching gift to FGO to help the 83 year-old opera company create digitally transformative and more immersive experiences for younger audiences.Ìý

She also sits on the FIU Foundation Board of Directors, serving as Chair of the Athletics Sub Committee and her and her husband recently named the Wine Program at the FIU Chaplain School of Hospital- the Vidal-Duart Wine Studies Program. To date the company have donated approximately $4.5 million to the University for various colleges and programs.

Vidal-Duart was recently nominated to serve on the Board of the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust as the Vice Chair and has a passionate interest in assisting children growing up in homeless environments.ÌýÌý She serves on the board of Hope Florida Foundation, a DSO for the Department of Children and Families.Ìý She was nominated by the CFO of Florida, Jimmy Patronis, to serve as a Commissioner for the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, a position she held until December 2023.Ìý She is a former member of YPO and was Chairwoman of the FIU Honors College Advisory Board from 2011 through 2016 and has served on several councils and boards at FIU and nationally for Strong Women, Strong Girls. She and her husband are also passionate advocates for abused and neglected dogs and have been rescuing abused and neglected dogs for over a decade.
