Harrison is a principal shareholder and member of the board of directors of Albers Aerospace, an aerospace and defense engineering group. He is also a member of the board of directors of Atomic-6, an advanced composites manufacturer, and a venture partner at IronGate Capital Advisors, a defense technology venture fund.

Harrison previously served as the 8th Chairman of the U.S. Arctic Research Commission, the independent federal agency with responsibility for advising the president and congress on arctic research, science and exploration. Prior to his appointment he served in the U.S. Department of State.鈥

Harrison received his B.S. from the University of Southampton. He is chair of the District Board of Trustees of Palm Beach State College.
