PJHR welcomes Dr. Angela Nichols as new Assistant Director

Angela D. Nichols, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Political Science at ´óÏó´«Ã½. She is also the Curriculum Coordinator for the Barb Schmidt Fellowship (BSF). In addition to her work with BSF, Dr. Nichols has been deeply involved with PJHR since 2014 and was a PJHR Inaugural Faculty Fellow. Dr. Nichols’ research broadly focuses on issues related to human rights and conflict. Her bookÌý Ìýexamines the contributions of truth commissions. She has also published articles in theÌýJournal of Conflict Resolution,ÌýInternational Studies Perspectives,ÌýCooperation and Conflict,ÌýDynamics of Asymmetric Conflict, andÌýCivil Wars.ÌýDr. Nichols’ newest work examines the causes and consequences of women’s engagement in rebel groups.
