At the graduate level, the Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Comparative Literature (LLCL) offers a Master's degree with a concentration in Linguistics, a combined BA-to-MA degree, and a Graduate Certificate in ESL Studies:听
LLCL also participates in the multidisciplinary Ph.D. Degree in Comparative Studies听offered by the College of Arts & Letters. Doctoral students can choose linguistics as one of their areas of concentration and explore听the interplay among cultures, languages and literatures, as well as theories and methodologies, technologies and pedagogies.听
We听offer graduate courses in a variety of linguistic subfields, both theoretical and applied.听

LLCL has a policy of "rolling admissions," which means we accept students for Fall and Spring enrollments. We also offer a limited number of graduate teaching assistantships听that听provide an annual stipend and tuition remission in exchange for teaching (languages and/or linguistics courses) or assisting in the department.听
