The artists in this exhibition reside in, or are connected to, South Florida. An illustrated catalog has been produced by the University Galleries to document the exhibition.

Six nationally recognized writers will read original works that explore the theme of "dirt"鈥攊ts literal and figurative connotations and everything in between. Miami writers Michael Hettich, John Dufresne, Elizabeth Jacobson and Geoffrey Philp will join 大象传媒 professor of English Andrew Furman and 大象传媒 professor of Geology Edward Petuch to present their works written specifically for the exhibition as well as texts about this fundamental element that they have selected by other authors.
