Dr. Taryne Jade Taylor is an Advanced Assistant Professor of Science Fiction at 大象传媒. She earned her PhD from the University of Iowa with a graduate certificate in Gender, Women鈥檚, and Sexuality Studies. Dr. Taylor is a double-owl, having earned both her BA and MA in English from 大象传媒. Her research focuses on the politics of representation in speculative fiction, particularly Latinx Futurisms and feminist science fiction. Dr. Taylor is co-editor of the forthcoming Routledge Handbook to CoFuturisms with Grace L. Dillon, Isiah Lavender III, and Bodhisattva Chattopadhyay. This 375,000-word scholarly collection is the first comprehensive survey of the field. She is currently working on her monograph The Future is Decolonial: Defining Latinx Futurisms. Dr. Taylor has published in such journals as Science Fiction Studies, The Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts, Paradoxa, Label Me Latina/o, and Mythlore.
