UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS WAITLIST FAQ
The waitlist is a group of first-year applicants we may still consider for admission if there is still space available once the students we have already admitted decide whether or not they will enroll.Â
Please note that being placed on the waitlist is not the same as being denied. You still may be considered for admission to ´óÏó´«Ã½ should space open within our freshmen class.
We encourage you to report your first semester grades and/or any new SAT/ACT/CLT scores you have obtained since you first submitted your application. Please report updated grades through the and test scores through your . Official score reports can also be sent directly from the testing agency to Florida Atlantic.Â
No additional information (including letters of recommendation or continued interest) will be accepted.Â
In the meantime, you may also explore our
through Verto Education. This provides the opportunity to start college abroad with a guaranteed pathway* to the Florida Atlantic campus for Spring 2026. Exploring or enrolling in Verto Education will not impact your spot on our waitlist. If you are ultimately admitted from the waitlist, you may start at Florida Atlantic in Fall 2025 and receive a refund from Verto Education.
If students are taken off the waitlist and offered a space, they will have two weeks from the date of their offer to complete the following:Â
- Accept their offer
- Submit their tuition deposit
- Complete their background checkÂ
These actions will finalize their acceptance into the Direct Admit Track.
If we can offer you admission, we will notify you as soon as possible, but no later than May 31.Â
Since we are unable to determine an exact date for when we may need to consider the waitlist, we advise you to make plans to attend a college or university where you already have a firm offer of admission in place.
Students admitted for Summer or Fall from the waitlist will be required to pay the $200 non-refundable deposit to confirm their enrollment within two weeks of their offer. You will forfeit your spot if you do not make your deposit by this deadline.
Students admitted for Spring will be required to pay their deposit by October 15 to confirm their enrollment.
Admission updates will be communicated through your , so we encourage you to monitor both your email and the portal regularly.
